Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This policy explains how the RD's UPSC ERP public website, web platform and application releases may handle information. This website is an independent product website and is not affiliated with the Union Public Service Commission.
1. Public website
The public website is largely static. Browsing it does not require an account. Standard hosting infrastructure may process technical logs such as IP address, request time, browser type and requested page for security and reliability.
2. Account and web platform
Public accounts are created through the RD's UPSC ERP Supabase service using Google authentication. The separately allow-listed owner account may also use a one-time code sent to its verified administrator mailbox. Your account is identified by a unique user ID. Your display name, email address, Indian mobile number, city, state, date of birth, target examination, target year and language preference may be stored to provide account and community features. In public community and blog areas, only your display name and city are shown; email, mobile number, state and date of birth remain private. Posts, comments, emoji reactions, 1–5 star ratings, content reports, submitted blogs and optional blog photos are stored under your account. Report details and reporter email are visible only to authorized moderators. A daily quota record is retained to enforce the five-new-post limit even if a post is deleted.
3. Birthday emails
If you explicitly enable birthday wishes, your date of birth and account email are used to send one automated birthday message per year through the configured transactional email provider. You may disable this choice from your account profile.
4. App data
The desktop and Android applications may store syllabus, planning, notes, progress, settings and related study information on the user's device. Optional backup, authentication or sync features may use third-party services only when configured and enabled in the relevant app version.
5. Permissions
Mobile or desktop releases may request permissions required for a feature, such as file access, notifications, camera, network access or account authentication. Permissions should be requested contextually and may be managed through device settings.
6. Third-party services
When a release integrates services such as Supabase, GitHub, Google, Telegram or email delivery, those services process information under their own policies. The exact integrations enabled are described in the release notes and in-app disclosures.
7. Data security
Access to account data is protected by row-level security enforced in the database: users can only read and write data they own. Reasonable technical safeguards are used, but no software or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should maintain independent backups of important study data.
8. Data choices
Users may uninstall the app, revoke permissions, edit or delete their account data and delete locally stored data using operating-system, app or account controls.
9. Children
The product is intended for exam preparation and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
